About Me

Jolson42 (the 42 is silent, from when I was in high school, and geeking out over Douglas Adams) is the FNG, as of September 5 2013! He might even remember to edit this when he is no longer the FNG!
He is a fan of games, both of the video and board varieties, puzzles, LEGO and origami. Do not ask him about these things unless you're sure you want lots of opinions.
When he's not being a DJ, he is a high school maths teacher (also a bit of computing). He has heard that there have apparently been a lot of maths teacher DJs. There may be some sort of conspiracy here. fnord
He also often volunteers at The Army Museum of Western Australia. He mostly runs the shop, and fixes computers, and knows very little about military things. Don't tell them that.

Music

Jolson42 has a very broad range of music, occasionally deep too. His semi-regularly updated track list is available here. I'm almost always happy to play requests! If I don't have the music you want to hear, please send it to jolson42@gmail.com!

Contests

As someone who loves puzzles and riddles, I have a regular puzzle contest. Probably nothing too taxing, but be prepared!
Check it out at http://radio-kol.net/forums/viewtopic.php?f=17&t=5588
I also have a secret contest, which runs all the time. Nothing more shall be said of the secret contest, except that winners go into the hall of fame list on my profile, and win a prize.

Regular Shows

I have two regular shows each week, with my contest stretched between them!
On Mondays, I announce the new puzzle, and I'll play an episode of Welcome To Night Vale, a surreal podcast emulating the community radio station in a small desert town.
On Saturdays, I wrap up the contest and select a winner, and play a full album from my library. This will typically be quite different each week, with selected albums from a wide range of genres available.
